Grants · Projects
Projects are teamwork. This selection from 2014 to 2026 comes with Kudos to my colleagues at FIZ Karlsruhe and SUB Göttingen and the many external partners. My personal involvement in a given project varies from a formal executive role to an active Principal Investigator (PI) role. I no longer hold formal responsibility for any of the projects listed here.
More
R&D projects are central to the innovative capacity of service organisations and to their contribution to a cooperative knowledge infrastructure. At peak activity at SUB Göttingen, we managed dozens of grant-funded and internally funded projects concurrently, supported by a dedicated project office and a formal strategy process. The annual project budget approached €10 million; across my career, I estimate that I have helped secure more than €100 million in grant funding.
This list remains incomplete because the public record is fragmented. I began designing projects and writing grant proposals in 1997 and have also worked with philanthropic funding, particularly at Oxford. I may extend this documentation in a future release.
