Reconstructed abstract
This workshop report examines how current research information systems and open access repositories can exchange information about research outputs. It compares their institutional purposes, data models, metadata and workflows, and argues that closer integration could reduce duplicate data entry and improve services for researchers. The report recommends an integrated institutional information policy, a shared description of relevant entities and workflows, and a practical demonstrator for exchanging information between the two kinds of system.
